Hello, I’m Pilar.

Born in Madrid and trained in biology at the University of Granada, I found a way to bring my interests together through illustration. Plants, animals, mountains and the stories people tell about them have all found their way into my work.

My portfolio includes children’s books, botanical illustrations, educational material, nature guides and printmaking. I’ve illustrated traditional tales and contemporary stories, and worked on projects that help children explore the world around them.

Through Taller de la Alfaguarilla, my work has also included mountain and nature guides with botanical and zoological drawings and notes.
